We have been sponsored by Lutheran Church of the Resurrection for over thirty years with many educational and physical upgrades throughout these many years. Our teachers have been here as long as twenty-five years to as little as seven years. Our teacher's assistants have also been here from five to seven years.
Our first field trip of the year was to Bishop's Pumpkin Farm!! We headed out to Wheatland during the third week of Oct. I would recommemd this trip to any and all preschool age children and the parents. Everything is hands-on and age appropriate. Looking forward to a "behind-the-scene" tour of Raley's in January as well as a ballet performance in March.
Field trips are an impo
rtant part of the preschooler's education by taking them out of their classroom setting and into a space where they might not have been before. This is an excellent opportunity for the teachers to touch on new vocabulary, math spacing and problem solving. Field trips occur every other month thoughout the school year. From Bishop's Pumpkin Farm, the Fire Station, the Sacramento Science Musesum, Loomis Basin Vet's, to a musical theater trip in the spring and more.
